Parcel Hub Madrid for GLS Spain

To meet the continuous growth in parcel flows, GLS Spain decided to centralize their operations in the strategically important Madrid region. This new parcel hub is part of the Madrid Gate Logistics Center logistics park, located near highway A2, the capital city and the airport. With a surface area of more than 37,000 m2 cross-docking and urban distribution operations are carried out from here. Körber’s state-of-the-art technology enables the company to handle a large volume of parcels per hour, giving it a decisive competitive edge. In fact, thanks to the technology implemented, it has been possible to increase the system’s capacity and reach flows exceeding 50,000 parcels per hour, a milestone in the logistics sector in Spain.
