Challenges:

PostNord Denmark sought to modernize and consolidate their mail sorting equipment to ensure their service quality.

• Moving all three integrated Reading and Video Coding Machines (IRV 3000) from Fredericia to Taastrup


• Replacing the machine control hard- and software for all three IRV3000 and three CFC3004 machines currently in use in Taastrup with the latest MC2000 software for the Windows 10 operating system


• Upgrading the CS1000 reading/coding system to a new ORCA system, including merging both the Result Server (RS) and the Revenue Protection System (RPS) into the new system

Solutions Implemented:

The project encompassed moving machines from Frederica to Taastrup, replacing machine control hard- and software, and upgrading the reading/coding system. This technology and generation mix integration was implemented during continued operation and adhered to the strict timeline.
